Recently, Hisense released the new ULED TVs of the U7H series. U7 is Hisense ULED hot product, and the Hisense U7H series ULED TVs cover a total of four sizes 55, 65, 75, and 85 inches. This article will focus on the 75-inch Hisense U7H review.

1. Hisense U7H TV Review Appearance Design

The front of the Hisense U7H TV is a "full screen", and the rear border of the screen is almost "negligible". Hisense U7H has extremely narrow left and right upper borders. The frame adopts an all-metal wire drawing process, and the screen is slightly higher than the metal middle frame.

The lower frame of the TV adopts the design of "Bran gold-quality milled pattern". Officials say that this design is inspired by the dial of Rolex's top watch. Under the light, it glitters with gold.

Just below the TV is a transparent status indicator. The base as a whole is a regular cuboid. The pure metal profiles are processed by high-gloss drawing, CNC cutting and drilling.

On the back, the Hisense U7H uses a pure black backplane, with a large area of heating holes at the top, and a small raised square in the middle is the bass sound unit.

The middle of the back of the TV is the audio output. Hisense U7H supports Hi-Sound Pro sound field positioning, and the total power of the speakers is 77W.

The left side of the backplane is the power interface, and the right side is the related data interface. Among them, the interfaces on the right include cable TV input, digital RF interface, analog RF interface, 2 HDMI2.0, 1 HDMI2.1 full function, 2 USB2.0 interfaces and a network port. This HDMI2.1 is especially important for users with consoles such as Xbox Series X and PS5.

HDMI 2.1 supports up to 4K 120Hz signal input, has FRL transmission mode, and the transmission bandwidth can reach up to 48 Gbps. In addition, the HDMI 2.1 interface also includes Dynamic HDR, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and more. However, it is a pity that Hisense U7H does not have USB 3.0.

At the top of the Hisense TV, there is also a reserved USB interface and audio interface for external cameras.

2.Hisense U7H TV Review Screen

ULED
Hisense U7H TV uses ULED technology, namely Ultra-LED, which is a backlight partition display technology developed by Hisense. Although it is still an LCD TV in essence, Hisense ULED is based on multi-partition dynamic backlight control technology, combined with high color gamut and image processing technology to improve the picture quality display effect of the LCD screen.

High frequency PWM dimming
In the stroboscopic environment of the TV for a long time, the eyes are easily fatigued. The high-frequency PWM dimming frequency of Hisense U7H is more than ten times the industry average, which can make the screen achieve no screen flickering effect.

Obsidian screen
The Hisense U7H Obsidian screen has both ultra-high contrast and ultra-wide viewing angles, and the screen body has an excellent black control effect. When opening a pure black photo on the Hisense U7H, it is very close to the pure black display effect of an OLED screen, and even has the illusion of "screen off".

What's more, this screen has an ultra-low reflectivity of 2.37%, with excellent anti-glare ability. As shown in the figure below, a yellow light is placed in front of the TV, but there is no light reflection on the screen at this time.

Wide viewing angle
The Hisense U7H has a wide viewing angle of 178°. Even if you look at the screen in extreme directions such as diagonally, there is still no big change or loss in color.

Note: The pictures presented below are all taken by mobile phones and uploaded with compression and digital conversion, so they are for reference only and do not represent the real picture quality performance of Hisense U7H.

The ULED screen used by Hisense U7H has 100+ full-array dynamic backlights, and each partition has 4096 light controls. The more backlights, the finer the picture and light control will be.

In addition, this screen also has a 4K HDR display, a peak brightness of 1000 nits, and a refresh rate of up to 240Hz (supporting VRR variable refresh rate), 240Hz MEMC motion compensation. Other aspects include 90% DCI-P3, 1.07 billion color support, 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.

Light Control
Thanks to the advantages of ULED, as well as the direct-lit backlight and 100-level partition light control, no halo or light leakage was found on the Hisense U7H screen in the actual measurement.

Grayscale display
When viewing a 256-level grayscale picture on the Hisense U7H, the white part is very positive, and the grayscale transition of color from black to white is very delicate and natural. This shows that when watching TV, when encountering a dark-colored picture, there will be no sudden color blocks.

Color Performance
In the color performance test, Hisense U7H handled the color of dark areas such as gray, brown and black very well, showing a uniform and soft transition.

In the 4K resolution test, we zoomed in to see that the smallest text in the English area on the left can be displayed clearly. The areas pointed to by the blue arrow (1080P) and the red arrow (4K) can be fully displayed, and the text is not blurred.

4. Hisense U7H TV Review Summary

Overall, the Hisense U7H has reached the top level of LED LCD TVs. In addition, 240Hz ultra-high refresh rate and 240Hz MEMC meet the needs of gamers. Therefore, the all-round competitiveness of Hisense U7H is still quite prominent. If you are looking for an excellent screen and outstanding audio and video performance, the Hisense U7H must be a good choice.
