Samsung released the Neo QLED 4K / 8K and OLED model TV lineup at this year's CES show, and it has already opened pre-sales in South Korea.
The most noteworthy of these is the flagship model Neo QLED 8K QNC900. This TV further enhances picture quality with the latest AI sampling technology and Neo Quantum 8K processor. The Samsung Neo QLED 8K QNC900 TV also has improved audio output, connecting multiple speakers through Q-Symphony technology for more three-dimensional sound.
Samsung's top-of-the-line Neo QLED TV, the QN900C, features 8K resolution, a QLED panel with 14-bit Mini-LED backlight, and peak brightness of up to 4000 nits. Contrast is also up, thanks to improvements to its 8K Real Depth Enhancer Pro and Shape Adaptive Light algorithms.
Backlight local dimming zones are up from the 36 used in the 2022 8K model to 1,000. Old movies and TV shows are said to look better on Samsung's 2023 Neo QLED TV lineup, thanks to an automatic HDR reshaping algorithm. The algorithm can turn SDR content into HDR for overall improvements in brightness, color and dynamic range.
