First, measured peak white came in just under 200 nits, against a manufacturer rating of 2,600 ANSI lumens. That is not a knock on it. On a properly light-controlled screen 200 nits is plenty. But it tells you what this projector is for, and it is not a room with windows, no matter how compact the throw is.
Second, and this is the one I keep chewing on: two HDMI 2.0b inputs, one with eARC, and a spec sheet listing 3840 by 2160 at 60Hz. At $6,999, in 2026. If you were planning to hang a PC or a current console off this and get high frame rate 4K, that door is shut before you start.
What you are actually paying for is geometry. It covers a 200-inch image from 14.5 feet, where the W5800 before it needed 22 feet for the same picture. That is the entire pitch, and for anyone with a shallow room and a big screen it is a genuinely rare combination. Add fully motorized shift, zoom and focus with 50 percent vertical and 15 percent horizontal range, 100 percent of DCI-P3 without a filter, and 20,000 to 25,000 hours of laser life, and the install flexibility is real.
Resolution comes from pixel shift that is always on, which will bother some people. The reviewer's position was that lens quality decides perceived sharpness more than native pixel count, and having lived with both I think that holds up more often than not.
