pros and cons
VAVA 4K Projector Pros:
- So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed this VAVA 4K Projector. the setup was super easy and the image is clear and bright. I'm projecting onto a gray wall at the moment, and it looks really good.
The sound is exceptional. Really good base. It's a bit bigger than it looks in the VAVA 4K Projector pictures, so make sure to look at the measurements and plan accordingly. Overall, I'm really pleased. - the VAVA 4K Projector is everything I expected, and customer service was also excellent.
- Incredible image, super fast to boot up, minimal noise coming from the far, even on high settings, I'm loving it.
- I bought VAVA UST Projector and I did not even project it onto an UST screen but just a rough wall and yet, the picture is clear, bright and vibrant.
- We will use this for outdoor movie nights. In the dark the screen is absolutely gorgeous and equals our 4k QLED but not as sharp as our OLED. But at 144” it’s outstanding and perfect for movies!! Remote was easy to use but via HDMI 3.0 not picking up the navigation through the Roku interface.
- Good image, clear & bright
- Easy to base
- Harman Kardon sound
- simple remote
VAVA 4K Projector Cons
- if you're replacing your TV with this, you'll do just fine. But if you're like me and want to add this to your home theater, it becomes a whole different story: the VAVA does NOT respond to HDMI-CEC commands, I cannot get anything higher than 4K HDR 30Hz on the VAVA.
- Owner for 8 months: I cannot recommend buying this projector.
Why?
- fans are noisy. The first 3 months it was okay, but then it just started gearing up and now, it’s running full blast half the time. When audio is low, I need subtitles to hear what’s being said.
There’s also input lag, not true 4k, poor updates, unclear top focus(relative to bottom being absolutely in focus).
- This VIVA projector is not of a real 4K quality as it should be. There is also issue of delay in audio if you try to connect the Home Theater system via blue tooth.
- The worst is that there is absolutely no support available.
- No height adjustment (no vertical shift). Unlike most front projectors that have significant vertical shift capabilities, this projector has to be at the exact physical height to get the image to align with the screen. You can't just put it on a table or audio cabinet and move the image up or down 1-2 feet. I kind of knew this coming in, but didn't realize how much of a pain this would be. I am going to have to build a new mount for it.
